(Can we just take a moment to appreciate how CUTE  a young Miyuki Kazuya is?)

What a time to be alive! It really is a early Christmas miracle! Diamond No Ace holds a special place in my heart. To those who don’t know, Diamond No Ace is a Shounen baseball manga written by the legendary Yuji Terajima. It was first published by Kodansha and has been serialized by Weekly Shounen Magazine as early as 2006. Just to show off to those who have never watched or read this beautiful art, Diamond No Ace actually received the Shogakukan Manga Awards for the shonen category in 2008.

(Those who have been through season 1 know how special this team really is)

On the 6th of October 2013, the anime adaption premiered. Yet again the studio that was behind this spectacular decision was none other than Madhouse. Season 1 of the anime consisted of  75 episodes and it lasted till the 29th of March 2015.  This season was the start of the journey Eijun Sawamura lead and where I fell in love with nearly all the characters. Want to know a secret? I even fell in love with some of the opposing team!

The fun doesn’t stop there! The second season swiftly started a couple days later and this consisted of 51 episodes! That’s right if you haven’t watched this, then you are in for a ride. Season 2 continues onto the aftermath of the intense match between certain teams. I will not spoil anything! This is something you need to do for yourself and find out exactly what I’m talking about. One thing I can promise you is, YOU WON’T BE DISSAPPOINTED . I can bet my life on it! I always warn people, but let me just do it again.

Make sure you have a lot of tissue ready for those tears!

(You’re thinking asking are these happy tears? Sad tears? Find out!)

It has taken almost three years to finally get confirmation that there WILL be a season 3. It was at the Diamond No Ace All-Star Game that took place at Meiji Jingu Stadium who announced that were will indeed be a anime adaption scheduled to premiere in 2019. As of right now there isn’t any information on what to expect, but really who cares other than theres going to be a season 3!!

Whilst I’m at it I might as well and confess and tell you that I didn’t finish season 2!  Shocking I know! But, this was only because I couldn’t handle finishing the anime and not knowing what was going to happen. Some would say, “Why not read the manga?”  but I really only watch sports anime. Its just my preference. But now?? I can finally watch season 2!! Who wants to join me in this fun or for some of you a re-watch?

I’m game if your game!

(Pun intended!) (I’m sorry guys! I know I just couldn’t help it)

What are you thoughts?
