In the mood for Laughter?

This year has gone quick hasn’t it guys? We have been spoiled with returns of anime that we have been waiting for and a whole load of new ones. Depending on where you’re from, the weather has been depressing! So if you are like me where you enjoy just staying in bed with a laptop on one side and hoard of junk food on another and all you want do is laugh?

Well you are in luck! I have a few suggestions for you and you might just need a change of pants with the amount of laughing you are going to do!

Comedy anime I can say is one of my favourite genres to watch because it can actually change your mood in an instance! So have you had a time hard time at work? Boss man made you angry? Hell maybe university work isn’t going the way you wanted it to go?  Well I propose for you to just take a breather and watch some of these beauties!

*So drum rolls please*

This year, this anime I can honestly say has become my absolute favourite and I CANNOT recommend it enough! Ladies and Gentleman I give you:

Grand Blue: 2018 (12 Episodes)

Genre: Comedy, Seinen, Slice Of Life

Synopsis:

Among the seaside town of Izu’s ocean waves and rays of shining sun, Iori Kitahara is just beginning his freshman year at Izu University. As he moves into his uncle’s scuba diving shop, Grand Blue, he eagerly anticipates his dream college life, filled with beautiful girls and good friends.

But things don’t exactly go according to plan!

Iori Kitahara and Kouhei Imamura became my best friends in the twelve weeks this was going on. Immaura if anything is another fellow Otaku and all he wanted to do was find an anime club to enjoy his time in university (I’m sure some of you can relate!)  but instead he was dragged by Kitahara to a diving club that mainly consisted of a bunch naked men that always ended up drinking!

(I’m not lying!)

This anime had me dying of laughter non-stop! The faces they were making also didn’t help whenever they thought of evil plans! I honestly cannot recommend this anime enough people!!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ALREADY?

The fun doesn’t stop there! Though this is anime is technically a Shoujo Romance one, the comedy on this is actually on par with Grand Blue. Like Grand Blue this anime also does what I call the exaggerated Titan faces. (If you’re a fan of Attack on Titan you know what I mean!)

(See what I mean people?)

Moving on, I think I’m getting off track! I give you:

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii: 2018 (11 Episodes)

Genre: Slice Of Life, Comedy, Romance

Synopsis:

After discovering that they work at the same company, a gaming crazed otaku and a fujoshi reunite for the first time since middle school. After some post-work drinking sessions they begin dating, but will it be a perfect relationship for the two?

What makes this anime so much fun is the fact instead of ONE character being a Otaku, the ENTIRE group is! This is a heartwarming anime about two sets of couple who have all become friends trying to juggle their professional work life and making time for their hobbies. I mean come on on guys!! Whats not to love about this?

Not to mention both couples are SO LOVEABLE. We have sensitive Nifuji Hirotaka and gullible Momose Narumi. Fun fact: they were actually childhood friends reunited 10 years later working at the same firm.  These two bring nothing but joy to my life when they appeared on screen.

(Who doesn’t love men who cry over anime? I sure do!)

My favourite couple of this year has to be given to Koyanagi Hanako and Kabakura Tarou!!

(I know guys I love him too! He can cho.. *Coughs*)

This anime also advertises other types of… lets just say ‘interesting’ anime.

I SUGGEST YOU GIVE IT A TRY! THATS AN ORDER!

(YES I’M SPEAKING TO YOU!)

Okay, I think I might as well call this guide: Comedy Guide for Otaku:

Watashi ga Motete Dousunda: 2016 (12 episodes)

Genre: Romance, Harem, Comedy, School,Shoujo

Synopsis:

Kae Serinuma is a second year high schooler and an avid fujoshi who secretly ships her classmates, Igarashi-kun and Nanashima-kun. The death of her favorite anime character causes her to become stressed—and loses weight rapidly. Now that Serinuma has become an attractive girl to her classmates, her snarky kouhai Shinomiya-kun, and her senpai Mutsumi, how is she going to deal with them …with her constant BL-filled, fujoshi mind?!

Yes guys I give you another anime about Otakus! I actually didn’t even plan it! It just happened! Though this isn’t a recent anime I cannot emphasis how funny this anime turned out. It sounds like your typical harem anime where 4 guys are fighting over one girl right?

WRONG!

What makes Serinuma so funny was the way she lost weight, I wont even spoil it but I can say she is completely justified to it ! THE AMOUNT OF ANIME REFERENCES IN THIS ANIME IS AMAZING!

I’m not even a harem fan, but I was in a dark place when I found this anime and it actually bought light to my life once I completed it! Who am I to stop spreading that light? THERE IS LIGHT FOR EVERYONE PEOPLE.

(Me when I find another anime lover and ignoring all the haters)

I think I’m going to leave it here! There is a lot of laughter to go round! So do your duties and spread the word!

(AGAIN YES IM SPEAKING TO YOU!)

Give them a try and if they haven’t made you laugh as much as I did:  I promise to…Well…

(I’LL CUT MY OWN ARM OFF)

As usual let me know your thoughts people!
