ONE PIECE: 20TH ANNIVERSARY MOVIE ANNOUNCED

December 16th, 2018

CALLING ALL ONE PIECE FANS:

I believe I’ve said this already but 2019 really is going to be a FANTASTIC year for anime in general. This includes movies too! That’s right this coming August: August 9th to be exact there will be a celebration in the form of a movie for the anime:

To enlighten those who don’t know  (you really should know!)  One Piece is the greatest anime/manga to ever be created.

I AM NOT BIASED!

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written by the talented Eiichiro Oda. It was first serialised in Shueish’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine on the 22nd of July 1997.  Due to the popularity of it (as it should) an anime was produced for it two years later by Toei Animation in 1999.

However, the fun didn’t just stop at an anime! Oh no! Instead, Toei Studio (who I will thank for as long as I live) ended up developing thirteen animation feature films, one OVA and eleven television specials. One Piece has collected over 80 volumes with its many volumes breaking printing records in both Japan and Worldwide. Get this, the manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published by a single author, and it is the BEST SELLING manga series worldwide with over 430 million copies sold! This stands true even till today at 2018!

The figures speak for themselves don’t they?

(I KNOW ISN’T IT GREAT?)

Those just starting One Piece will be in for a fun ride! Just look at whats waiting for you!

One Piece will be rejoicing its 20th anniversary in 2019 with the form of a ANOTHER movie! Just this week, the series dropped both its poster and trailer.

From the poster we can see the official movie title goes by: One Piece Stampede. So far everything is still being kept under wraps and all we know is the movies follows the previous two movies: One Piece Film Z and One Piece Film Gold. If you do want to give Stampede a try I suggest you give at least the previous other two movies a watch to enjoy the full effect!

Like previous movies except for the odd one or two, One Piece movies tend to take place outside the usual cannon. This meaning it stands alone from the series itself and right now there is no news of whether Eiichiro Oda is involved in the movie in any way.

Thats all the information we have right now folks! As soon as I get my hands on any more you will be the first to know!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE!

WHO ELSE IS EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE?

Let me know your thoughts on this!
